On the 19th of September 2005, I will be leaving for a driving tour of the USA and Canada.
The map below covers the areas that I will be travelling from and to over the course of the trip
The start part of the trip is Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, where I will be landing at 13:30 US Time having taken off from London Gatwick Airport at 09:15 UK Time
I won't be doing a great deal that day other than picking up the hire car, and getting used to it, and then driving to Marietta where I will be meeting Laura for dinner at a nice Indian restaurant and then going to my hotel for the first night stop.
The plan for today is to drive to Lynchburg, TN and visit the Jack Daniels distillery which is located roughly here.
After which I will be driving to Nashville where I am staying for the night - originally expedia had given me a hotel in Lynchburg, VA even though I specified Lynchburg,TN (old expedia)
Today I will be driving up towards Cincinatti, and I have a meal booked for the evening at Mortons Steakhouse
The hotel for the night is fairly close to the airport.

The plan for today is to reach Indianapolis, where the next hotel is booked for.
The plan for today is to drive to Chicago!
Depending on the time that I reach Chicago today I will be picking up my tickets for the tour that I am going on, and also the tickets to the Bears home game that I will be attending.

Today I will be going on a planned tour of Chicago - still in the same hotel for the night again
Yes, today I will be going to Soldier Field!!!
After watching the Bears game - and most likely doing a silly amount of shopping I am then driving to Detroit to where the next hotel is located
Today I cross the border between the USA and Canada, and will possibly be driving into Toronto - however the main goal is to get to Niagara Falls where the next hotel is located.
Today is spent in Niagara Falls, I have got a tour booked that will take me on the Maid of the Mist and other locations in and around the falls area.
I leave Canada today in order to start the journey back to Atlanta, I will leave Canada and drive through Buffalo on towards New York and the next hotel that is located around here.
The plan today is continuing the drive back to Atlanta - through Philidelphia and stopping off around Washington DC for a bit, before getting to the final hotel for the trip located around here.
And today is back to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport where I will be leaving on a flight at 22:00 US Time to start the final part of the journey...
And the final part of the journey ends at London Gatwick Airport at 11:15 UK Time
Although I have planned some things to do, I'm sure that other things will be found along the route that interest me so I will make any updates to this page as I go along.
